Membership

We believe church membership is a partnership between individuals to accomplish the work of the church. We would welcome the chance to talk to you about partnering with us to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. If you are interested in joining with our church please speak with one of our pastors, either at the "Response Time" at the end of our worship service, or by scheduling an appointment to talk about membership in our church.

Requirements for Membership at Morris Memorial Baptist Church

  • A personal profession of faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord
  • Baptism by immersion after salvation at Morris Memorial Baptist Church or another church of like faith and practice
  • Agreement with Church Membership Covenant

 

Church Membership Covenant

I agree that being a member of the Morris Memorial Baptist Church family means I will be committed to developing a growing relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and other members of His body. In the context of these relationships, I commit to God and to my fellow Christians that I will earnestly endeavor to do the following under the leadership of the Holy Spirit:
 

  1. I will protect the unity of our church family by: Affirming the theological standards of the church; Acting in love toward other members; Refusing to gossip and stir up dissension; Honoring and following the leadership.
